The picker to part method or piece picking is similar where the order picker or pickers move to gather the items needed but for one order only.

In the sorting systems method, there is no movement of the order picking personnel. Instead, the things are delivered to her or him through an automated system like a conveyor system or an automatic storage. In the zone picking method, every order picker is assigned to one specific zone. They are responsible for only realizing order picking within this specific zone.
